What happens after you hit send

Your submission lands in a shared inbox monitored by a duty reporter on rotation. Within 30 minutes during newsroom hours — and within an hour overnight — a staffer will triage it, verify what can be verified with public records or on-the-ground calls, and either reply to you with a follow-up question or assign it to the relevant beat reporter covering that part of Katy, Cinco Ranch, or Fulshear.

If we need more from you

If a reporter needs clarification, additional photos, or a second source, they will reach out through the channel you provided — or, for anonymous submitters, through the secure reply address generated when you submitted. That reply address is unique to your tip and expires after the story is filed, so it cannot be reused against you later.

What we will not do

We will not sell your contact information, share it with third-party advertisers, or hand it to law enforcement without a valid Texas subpoena reviewed by our legal counsel. We are not partnered with any national outlet that would claim your tip. It stays inside this newsroom.
