Brookshire City Council Approves Automated Waste Collection System

After almost a year of discussion, the Brookshire City Council has approved a proposal from Republic Waste to convert the city to an automated garbage collection system.

Waller County JP Sentenced To Probation In Federal Bribery Case

Waller County Justice of the Peace DeWayne Charleston has been sentenced to five years probation on federal bribery charges.
Under terms of the plea bargain, Charleston will avoid any jail time.
He could have received up to five years in jail and a fine of $250,000.
