The Cinco Ranch High School FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Team 624 (CRyptonite) advanced to the Semi-Finals of the 2012 Indiana Robotics Invitational (IRI) tournament held in Indianapolis on July 19-21.
Selected for the first time to participate in this showcase event, CRyptonite climbed the individual team rankings in the qualifying rounds to the number two spot out of 70 top high school robotics teams from across the United States and Canada. In one of those qualifying rounds their alliance scored 136 points, a world record for this ear’s “Rebound Rumble” game.
This is a wonderful accomplishment and we are all proud of the students, teachers, and of course parents involved.
