The Texas Medical Center will host a veterans job fair on June 28, and veterans from the Katy area seeking careers are invited to attend.
Dubbed the “Hiring Red, White and You!” event, the job fair will be held at the Hornberger Conference Center, 2151 W. Holcombe Boulevard in Houston.
Hours for the job fair will be 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Acknowledging the challenges facing veterans in gaining employment, members of the Texas Medical Center have come together to help veterans overcome the biases and roadblocks that frequently prevent them from re-assimilating into civilian life.
In support of this effort, Executives from both academic and healthcare members of the TMC came together to create a program targeted at helping veterans interested in continuing their careers in the healthcare industry.
The program, called “Hiring Red, White and You!” will help veterans transfer the skills, knowledge and abilities developed in the armed forces to jobs in the TMC healthcare community.
The job fair will include opportunities for veterans and their spouses in the following fields:

- Education/Continuing Education
- Facilities/Maintenance
- Finance
- Food Service
- Information Technology
- Laboratory
- Management/Professionals
- Nursing
- Nursing Support
- Research/Postdocs
- Security
