Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital will be offering a “Safe Sitter” babysitter course next Tuesday designed to teach safe and nurturing babysitting skills to young adolescents.
Instruction includes how to administer first aid, how to handle medical emergencies and what to do for a choking child.
Safe Sitter also teaches organizational skills, safety habits and the importance of knowing when to call for help.
The course will be held Tuesday, June 19 from 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. in the hospital’s conference center.
The cost to attend is $50.
