The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspects believed to be involved in the May 25 murder of a man at an area nightclub.
According to a press release from the sheriff’s office, deputies responded to a shooting call at the El Coyote VIP Club, 4240 North Hwy. 6, at 3:45 a.m. to find a black male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.
The 31-year-old victim was taken to Methodist West Hospital where he died of his injuries.
Investigators learned that a bouncer for the club was alerted that two males were attempting to sell drugs to other patrons in the club. The bouncer confronted the males and requested they leave the club.
The victim, who was assisting the bouncer, followed both males to the parking lot.
A physical altercation erupted in the parking lot between the victim and the two males. The bouncer was alerted to the fight disturbance and went to parking area to assist the victim.
As the victim and bouncer walked to a parking lot across the street from the club to confront the suspects, several gunshots were fired at them, hitting the victim one time. The suspects then fled the scene in what was described as “an early model green Chevrolet Camaro.”
Detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying the two men responsible for the shooting.
