Katy’s newest restaurant is poised for a Monday grand opening and a special reception benefiting The Brookwood Community.
Restaurateur David Herrera and family will be opening their fifth restaurant, Alicia’s Mexican Grille – Katy at 25725 Katy Freeway, adjacent to the Main Street Katy development.
The restaurant will officially open at 11 a.m. Monday, June 11.
There will also be a special celebration of the grand opening with a cocktail reception benefiting The Brookwood Community on Saturday, June 23. Hours for the reception will be 2 – 5 p.m.
“The Brookwood Community is a wonderful organization,” Herrera said. “They provide an educational environment that creates meaningful jobs, builds a sense of belonging, and demands dignity and respect for adults with disabilities. My family and I are proud to support them and their efforts.”
Tickets for the reception are $25 per person and can be purchased at the door.
In addition to the new Katy location, Herrera, his wife Alicia and their three sons, Ubaldo, Marvin and Dario, have four other popular restaurants in the greater Houston area.
Other Alicia’s Mexican Grille locations include Richmond Avenue in Houston, Kuykendahl Road in Spring and Highway 290 in Cypress.
The family also operates Dario’s American Cuisine on Cypress Rosehill Road in Cypress.
