Lamar senior Chris Lanham put everything he had into what turned out to be his last high school start, leaving a shutout with one out in the eighth inning.
Unfortunately for the Redskins, Katy Taylor sophomore Dane Myers was even better. With all runs scoring in the eighth inning, the Mustangs won 4-2 on Saturday at Lamar’s Bill Poland Field to sweep the Region III-5A bi-district series.
