Katy City Council this week approved two final plat applications in the WoodCreek development, paving the way additional businesses in the rapidly-growing western portion of the city.
Council members unanimously approved the final plats for WoodCreek Commons Shopping Center and StorIt at WoodCreek.
WoodCreek Commons Shopping Center will be located on a 24-plus acre tract located on the southeast corner of FM 1463 and the Katy Freeway frontage road. Part of the property, 3.49 acres, will be used for a convenience store, while the remaining 21.4802 acres will be used for additional commercial development.
StorIt at WoodCreek will be a self-storage facility located on 3.6043 acres on the east side of FM1463 across from Hoyt Lane.
Both plats were previously approved by the Katy Planning & Zoning Commission.
