Kosmos Coffee Shop has given nearly $500 from its April sales to Breath of Life Children’s Clinic locally, and partnered with Grand Lakes Presbyterian to support its global charity of the month, Medical Benevolence Foundation.
Both organizations benefited from the coffee shop’s April cause – “disease” – one six causes Kosmos has adopted.
Located on Peek Road at The Fellowship at Cinco Ranch, Kosmos Coffee donates all profits each month to organizations dedicated to dealing with the cause of the month. The funding is divided between a local charity and a global nonprofit.
Breath of Life Children’s Clinic Executive Director Denise Owen said Kosmos’ funding was used to immunize children.
“Since its inception in 1999, the Breath of Life Children’s Clinic has been providing healthcare services to children who might otherwise be untreated due to financial hardship or a lack of insurance coverage. The support of Kosmos is especially appreciated at this time when we are reaching out to a far greater number of uninsured children in the community,” Owen said. “The gift we received in June paid for children to receive 36 required immunizations for preventable diseases. Companies like Kosmos help to make the Breath of Life Children’s Clinic a healing place like no other; thank you for being a helping hand, leaving a legacy and making a difference in the lives of our children.”
Kosmos Coffee is a full-service coffee shop dedicated to championing causes that represent some of the greatest needs in the world today, including poverty, human trafficking, fresh water, homelessness and disease.
