CAP Needs Home For Rescued Belgian Tervuren Called ‘Scarlett’

SCARLETT

This week, Citizens for Animal Protection is looking for a home for Scarlett, a five-year-old Belgian Tervuren female.

Scarlett came to CAP after she was rescued wandering along the busy Westheimer – Dairy Ashford intersection by a Good Samaritan.

“It’s amazing she wasn’t hit by a car,” CAP Marketing Director Rita Benton said.

When rescued, Scarlett was wearing a collar, but with no tags.

“Hopefully her owner will see her and come to CAP and get her, otherwise we need to get this beauty a new home,” Benton said. “Looks are not the only thing Scarlett has going for her; she’s got a super personality, too. Those who have Belgian Tervurens report being charmed by their intelligence, trainability, and, perhaps most of all, their sense of humor. They excel in many kinds of activities.”

Although the breed is relatively rare in the United States, it is well-established.

For more information on how to give Scarlett the happy home she needs, go to the CAP website at www.cap4pets.org.
