Arizona-based Evolution Solar announced that the materials for the solar power lighting demonstration project in Brookshire have arrived and the company is beginning installation today.
The project was first announced on May 26.
Brookshire supplied the location for the project and will allow Environmental Solar access to the project to use as a demonstration site for potential customers.
Environmental Solar President Robert Hines said the project has been moving “very smoothly” and the company expects the installation of the demonstration project to be complete by next week.
“The City of Brookshire has been a good partner in getting this project off to a great start. The project should have significant value for the citizens of Brookshire as well as to our Company,” Hines said.
Evolution Solar is also constructing a solar demonstration site in partnership with Texas Southern University, located at the University’s Houston Campus.
