Cross Creek Ranch in Fulshear will play host to a new event in August featuring crafts made by women at home as a way to make extra income.

“MOMMY SWAGGER 2010” – The Cross Creek Ranch Welcome Center will play host to “Mommy Swagger 2010” on Aug. 14.
“Mommy Swagger 2010” is scheduled for 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Aug. 14 at the Cross Creek Ranch Welcome Center, 6450 Cross Creek Bend Lane.
The event is designed as an outreach to women or moms who craft homemade items for extra income. Organizers Lisa Webb and Kelli Hale said the focus is on ways to “empower women.”
“We are not being paid to organize this event; it’s something that speaks to our hearts to help empower women to craft their way to extra income during these difficult times,” Webb said. “Many of our vendors are getting their feet wet for the very first time in creating a small company and it’s exciting.”
Products available will range from mineral make-up, photo jewelry, monogrammed goods, and house décor to chocolate truffles and wine bottles. Other featured items will include belt buckles, children’s apparel, women’s accessories, and organic soaps and lotions.
Mommy Swagger 2010 will also be partnering with The Fulshear-Simonton Lions Clubs to benefit the annual “Fill A Back Pack Project” for area school children in need.
