The Fort Bend County Office of Emergency Management has issued a flash flood watch in effect until 4 a.m. Friday morning. Counties included in the watch are Fort Bend, Brazoria, Galveston, Jackson, Matagorda and Wharton.
Occasional showers and thunderstorms are expected to train over the same areas today and tonight, and one to three inches of rain is forecast for today with more rain tonight. Rainfall of one to three inches was reported across the counties yesterday.
Additional heavy rains could create a rise on area watersheds such as the San Bernard River, the Lavaca Navidad and the Tres Palacios.
