Katy Mills Mall is celebrating the Independence Day weekend with a special sale event and carnival, capped off with a July 4th community fireworks display.
The Carnival at Katy Mills, featuring traditional carnival games and rides, is open now through Sunday in the east parking lot of the mall near Sun & Ski Sports.
Hours for the carnival are 6 – 11 p.m. tonight, and 6 p.m. – midnight Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free; rides are $1 or unlimited rides for $20.
For those interested in shopping, mall retailers are offering special holiday bargains Friday through Sunday.
On Sunday, the mall will host the City of Katy free July 4th Fireworks Show. The display can be seen from all areas surrounding Katy Mills and residents are invited to bring seating and enjoy the show from the mall parking lots.
The fireworks will begin at sunset.
