Katy Area’s Newest Sport Clips Location Opens In LaCenterra

LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch has announced the addition of Sport Clips to its retail roster.

Local franchisee Cheston Syma has secured more than 1,300 square feet of center space for his fourth Katy-area Sport Clips location.

The new LaCenterra location opened Monday.

Syma called LaCenterra a great location for the sport-themed haircutter.

“The center offers visibility, high traffic counts and solid demographics, while providing customers with convenient shopping and dining options. I’m really looking forward to this location,” Syma said.

Sport Clips caters to males by providing hairstyling in a sports-themed environment. Headquartered in Georgetown, Sport Clips has 650 stores across the United States.

Established in 1993 and franchised in 1995 by Gordon Logan, the company is one of the nation’s leading franchises. Sport Clips ranks in the top 100 overall and top 50 in growth for the sixth straight year in Entrepreneur magazine’s “Franchise 500” and in the top 50 in Dun & Bradstreet’s AllBusiness.com, “2010 AllBusiness AllStars.”

Sport Clips is a sponsor of NASCAR’s Joey Logano and is the “official haircutter” of several teams in the National Basketball Association, Major League Baseball and National Hockey League.  Additionally, it is the “official haircutter” of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the largest contributor to the VFW’s “Operation Uplink.”

Sport Clips also offers preferential pricing for veterans.

A former United States Marine, Syma is a graduate of the University of Houston.  He is a Katy resident and when not tending the stores, works as a consultant for the U.S. State Department.

The new Sport Clips is located in Suite J130, between Luke’s Locker and Music & Arts Center.
