Saturday, March 13 promises to be a big day for kids at Katy Mills Mall as both Disney Channel’s Handy Manny and the Easter Bunny drop by for a visit.
Handy Manny, the bilingual Hispanic handyman from the popular Disney show of the same name, will leave his repair shop in Sheetrock Hills to visit with kids at the mall’s Neighborhood 6 from noon – 2 p.m.
Kids will have the opportunity to join Manny as they preview his new adventure, “The Big Race!” before it premieres on the Disney Channel. Young people will receive a checkered race flag and sticker sheet, as well as have the chance to color activity sheets, decorate license plates and dance in the “Pit Stop Pokey.”
There will also be several giveaways, including the chance to win books and a race car. Radio Disney will also be on hand.
The event is free for Simon Kidgits Club members, or $5 for non-members. The non-member fee includes an annual membership to the club.
March 13 will also mark the arrival of the Easter Bunny for his annual visit to Katy Mills.
Beginning at 10 a.m., kids can visit with the Easter Bunny in Neighborhood 6 near American Eagle. Parents will be able to purchase professionally-produced photos of their child with the Easter Bunny through April 3. Photo packages range from $14.99 – $34.99.
On March 27, the mall will host Breakfast with the Easter Bunny at the Rainforest Café. The Easter Bunny will visit with families as they enjoy breakfast and, later, children will have the opportunity to take part in an Easter egg hunt and an assortment of Easter-themed crafts.
Reservations for Breakfast with the Easter Bunny are required and can be made by calling Rainforest Café at 281-644-5200.
