Individuals interested in teaching in Katy ISD are invited to attend the upcoming Katy ISD Teacher Fair.
The recruitment event will take place 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday, April 24 in the Merrell Center.
Applicants can expect to meet with campus staff and possibly interview, according to the district.
No pre-registration or registration fee is required; however, submitting a completed teacher application online to the Katy ISD personnel department is suggested. Applications are located on under the “Employment” section at www.katyisd.org.
Applicants should also bring several photocopies of their resumes and applicable certificates.
Representatives from all Katy ISD schools will be on hand to meet and talk with prospective applicants. In addition, representatives from specialty groups such as athletics, special education, career and technology education, ESOL/bilingual, Languages Other Than English, fine arts, gifted and talented, library media, health services, instructional technology and counselors also will be on hand to provide information about employment opportunities in those specific areas.
The Katy ISD Teacher Fair is open to applicants not already employed by Katy ISD. In-district employees should use the transfer list if interested in transferring to a different location.
