I just got word there are NO seats at this evening's parent meeting in Room 1200 at the ESC, and unless you had previously sent in your RSVP you will be turned away at the doors as there is no room. When fully opened up this room is massive and can hold quite a few folks. Of course we do have the Merrill Center which I believe is available this evening.

Strange how folks can get upset enough to turn out for this event and can't make it to the polls when we elect the school board members who are responsible for making the rezoning decision. When will we learn?

Since no rezoning plan is ever going to be accepted by all and there will always be someone crying foul and that "the other guy" got a better deal, I offer a modest suggestion.

Let's go to the end of the district which is the most developed and has a lesser chance of new neighborhoods coming online and messing with the plan and start there. To this end we begin at Bear Creek Elementary school and at Wolfe on the south side of ten and begin pushing out until we fill the school. Then we get to the next closest campus and start again by going to the edge of the district or until we run into a line we just drew for the last school and do it again. Nice and neat, no wild map twisting. I believe this is what the post office uses, seems to work for them.

Anyone know why this won't work for an ISD?
