The fourth annual Greater Katy Exchange Club Bowl-a-Rama has been scheduled for Jan. 30 at the Times Square Entertainment Center on the Grand Parkway in Katy.
The event is a fundraiser for the Exchange Club’s child abuse prevention programs.
As a result of previous years’ events, the club has been able to donate more than $1,000 to local charities and nonprofits. Recipients of funding include Katy Christian Ministries, Krause Children’s Center, ARTreach and the Pregnancy Help Center.
The club currently has event sponsorships available ranging from $50 for individual players to $2500 for title sponsors. Club Secretary Newell Cheatheam said community support is critical to the success of the fundraiser.
“We are calling on the Katy Community and all our friends to participate and make a difference in the life of an abused child,” Cheatheam said. “We need your help with the purchase of team sponsorships, donation of silent auction items and gift certificates that promote your business.”
Examples of items that can be donated include medical consultations, teeth whitening, oil changes and auto service, rounds of golf, hotel stays, spa treatments, theater tickets and dinners.
In addition to the bowling and silent auction, the club will raffle off a flat screen television valued at more than $500. Tickets for the raffle are $10 each, or three for $20.
“Katy residents, this is your chance to give back to the wonderful community you live in, and make a difference in the lives of children who need protection,” Cheatheam said.
Times Square is located at 402 West Grand Parkway South, just south of the Katy Freeway.
