There will be a special spaghetti dinner Oct. 1 benefiting Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Major Jerry Clements, who has been hospitalized for more than four weeks with a serious medical condition.
The spaghetti dinner will be held at the new location of the Gus George Training Academy, 1521 Williams Way. Serving will begin at 11 a.m. and continue until 1000 plates are served.
Clements, a veteran Fort Bend County law enforcement officer, has undergone multiple surgeries and remains under treatment at Methodist Hospital in Houston. He current commands the department’s enforcement bureau.
Money raised from the dinner will help defray his overwhelming and rapidly-escalating medical expenses, as well as assist his family with expenses related to Clements’ medical treatment.
Each plate will feature the spaghetti sauce that has been a three-time winner at the Sugar Land Exchange Club Spaghetti Cook-Off, along with corn, salad, garlic bread and dessert.
The cost will be $10 per plate.
