In their last forum prior to tomorrow’s Katy ISD school board election, candidates Ross Raymond and Stacy Edwards-Tomdio were given an opportunity to summarize their respective candidacies for voters.
Polls will open at 7 a.m. tomorrow and voters may cast ballots until 7 p.m.
InstantNewsKaty will have the election results as they become available.
These are the candidate’s unedited final remarks, printed in the order they were received:
Stacy Edwards-Tomdio –
Let me say, “Thank you!” to everyone who takes an active interest in our children and also to those who have shown me much kindness in this campaign.
I believe it takes a village of supportive persons; parents, teachers, friends and extended family to insure our children are afforded the best possible life and a precursor to their future is the expectation of a proper education.
Parents instill core values in their children a loving community reinforces them and our teachers are an integral part of this. We live in a wonderful town, a place where our children are nurtured and cared for and a place I am proud to call home.
I am asking for your vote so that I can do all I can to ensure your child is supported and educated in a manner pleasing to you and with the sufficiency they need going forward either into the workforce as fully qualified persons; or if entering a university they are prepared for new educational challenges.
Whitney Houston released a song titled, “I believe the children are our future.” One line says it all, ‘I believe the children are the future; teach them well and let them lead the way.’
It will be an honor and a privilege to serve you as a member of the Katy ISD School Board of Trustees and I ask for your vote on Saturday, May 9th.
Ross Raymond –
Saturday will be a day for educational progress and openness, and I need your help.
This race is razor close and, with your help, I can begin representing your interests on the Katy ISD School Board. I have been honored to receive supportive calls from teachers, parents, administrators, taxpayers, even students and I thank all you and now ask for one final favor.
If you have not already done so please vote and take a friend with you. If you have voted (or not) please ask your next door neighbor to vote and make two phone calls on my behalf. The impact will be huge.
For those of you who still want to research this campaign please go to: www.katyvote.com. I am confident you will find what you need there to cast an intelligent and thoughtful vote for your children’s future.
I respectfully request the honor of your vote and will do everything I can to maintain your trust as I serve you these next three years.
Please vote this Saturday, May 9th! Polls open at 7 A. M. and close at 7 P. M.
If you don’t know where to vote go to my site for answers.
